Application of an Expert System Using Case-Based Reasoning Method for Diagnosis of Bone Disease

Abstract

This study describes the design of a bone disease expert system with the CBR method supported by a MySQL database and the PHP programming language. From research conducted at RSUD M. Taher Bangko, it can be concluded that the old system used was ineffective because the process was time-consuming and space-consuming, resulting in inefficient employee performance. After doing research at RSUD M. Taher Bangko by collecting data with interview methods and other methods, it can be concluded that the information system used is still not optimal. Therefore, the output design, input design, file design and program flow of the new system were carried out. The results of the analysis are applied to an expert system application program. The new information system designed is expected to improve the quality of information and performance in the future.
